At the Vaughan Community Health Centre, our mission is to build a strong sense of community by offering programs that bring people together to address various issues affecting Vaughan residents. Below is a list of our Fall 2017 health promotion programs:

MONDAY PROGRAMS

Heart to Heart Social Group [19+ Years]

Day: Monday
Time: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Date: September 11, 2017 – June 11, 2018

The Heart to Heart Social Group is an informal wellness drop-in program that provides participants with information on improving health and well-being. This relaxed setting allows individuals of all genders to connect over coffee, tea, and a healthy snack. Participants can share their experiences and suggest topics for future discussions and presentations. For more information or to register, please contact Cindy at 905-303-8490 Ext. 142. TUESDAY PROGRAMS

Coffee and Chats Women’s Group [19+ Years]

Day: Tuesday
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Date: September 12, 2017 – June 12, 2018
Location: VCHC Suite 106

Join this group to meet new friends, discuss topics that impact your daily life, and learn from guest speakers on subjects of your choice. WEDNESDAY PROGRAMS

Conquering Anxiety [19+ Years]

Day: Wednesday
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Date: February 21, 2018 – April 25, 2018

If anxiety is overwhelming your life and affecting your daily functioning, join this 10-week support group to better understand anxiety, identify anxious thoughts, recognize triggers, and develop strategies to manage it. Caregiver Support Group

Day: January 24 and February 13, 2018
Time: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Location: VCHC Suite 106

The Caregiver Support Group is designed to promote the health and well-being of caregivers by enhancing their coping capacity, connecting them to essential resources, and helping to prevent burnout. This group provides a space for caregivers to share their experiences, learn from each other, and receive valuable information and education. To register, please call Cindy at 905-303-8490 Ext. 142.
